Hi,

I am looking at buying a drive and case and putting it together myself to save a little cash. I want to mount a full size 3.5" HD, probably an 80G disk, in the case. The thing is, this project that it is for involves travel to Japan, Europe, and other areas (I am here in Hawaii, USA). Can someone recommend a good case or solution to the problem of various power supplies in the different parts of the world?

Currently I am thinking that the solution would be a case designed for US power and that should work OK in Japan. Then we would need an external power converter for the European power systems. However, I just realized that the Powerbook has a Universal power supply that just needs a different cord to function properly in whatever kind of power.

Are there any cases with such a power supply? I don't think I want to risk shipping case and power supply seperate from the mainland, only to have it arrive the day before departure and not mount properly...I figure such a small case is not a standard power supply but then I could be wrong. Anyways any and all suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thanks for your time in advance.

Sincerely,
willi
