You're best bet is to re-encode from CD. Sound like a pain in the a$$? We'll, downsampling an MP3 isn't like downsampling an AIFF. It's compression. And we all know that weird things happen when you compress a compressed file. If you no longer have the originals then you could decode then re encode at 128. I'd recomend leaving them as is. You don't need all your music with you. Do you?
