Hey guys,

It takes my DV SE a good while to download
a quicktime trailer for a movie. After it's
downloaded, however, is it possible to save it to disk so I can watch it again, without
the incredibly long download wait?

Pay $30 for the QuickTime Pro upgrade.

if you have QuickTime Pro you can save the movie using the dropmenu in the lower right corner of the movie's window...

if you use netscape, you can get it out of the netscape cache folder, look for a file of the same size as your movie and that will be it. this method may also work with iCab, i'm not sure if it does yet, i haven't tried it. i don't know how to do this with IE, maybe it can't be done as IE uses a different method of cacheing.

you can open the netscape cache window and set the window to show by size

I forget exactly where it is at for IE but all I do is search my hard drive for the file in Sherlock. Just make sure that you do the search before you close IE. Also I think you have to set something in Quicktime before it will save it to your hard drive. When I get home I will check for specfics.
