quicktime isnt playing streaming movies well at all. it plays it for a couple of secs, then the video freezes, but the audio keeps going and the video never resumes. i know this belongs in the QT forum, but not many people go there, so i thought id post it here.
im using a DVSE with OS9, and VM turned on.

its not working. heres what i got.....iMac DVSE, OS 9 , QT 4.1, T1 connection. whenever itry to stream anything in true-fulll screan mode, it plays for a couple of secs, and then the video freezes on me, and the sound goes on. its the same with VM on/off. any suggestions are welcome.

P.S.>> i even doubled the memory allocated to QT 4.1 to 8192KB, still the same, streams for about 5-10 secs flawlessley, then the video freezes, and after another 10 secs Audio freezes as well.

Have you considered it might be a problem on the server side?

i doubt if. now, for some reason, the video freezes, but the audio keeps playing, and then after about 30secs the video freezes again, and the cycle continues. help ?

does the site need QT4, if not try QT3, if that does not help then disable all extensions not needed for what you are doing. I have had that problem but my Mac is just to slow for 9 and QT4 so I down graded. Any G3 system should be able to do it. If it cuts out at the same spots all the time it my be the file it self and then there is nothing you can do.
cause of a few emails I have recieved I would like to point out that I am not a apple tech and can not claim to be an expert! I just push my old system to the max and have duplicated most problems
