Would anyone out there know how I would take a Quicktime movie that I've created in Premiere or Final Cut Pro, have it play in a Quicktime player window while it would stream through the Firewire port to the Sony DVMC-DA1 Media Converter for display on a television? I'm using the latest version, 4.1.1. I'm pulling my hair out trying to see if there's any way of doing this. I want to use strictly Quicktime to do this. Yes, it works in third party apps like Final Cut and Premiere, but I don't want to use those apps to do this.

As far as I know, and I asked an Apple guy at MacWorld Expo, there is no way to output the contents of your screen to FireWire.

The only way I can think of for you to output the content of your screen including the QuickTime Player is to use a VGA to composite video converter to display the output on a TV. This means you don't need the Sony FireWire to analog converter.

This is slightly off topic but does anyone know where I can get the Sony Media Converter for as cheap as possible?

The Apple Store dosen't have them.
