Tried to play video cd .mov file in OSX. All I got was a white screen playing. Started up from Classic 9.2. Double clicked .mov file and it started up just fine. QT 5 Pro is installed and registered.

sounds like you have the right codec in 9, but not in X. Open the movie (in either version) and type command(apple)-j (in QT 4 I think it's command-i).
choose "Video" from the first drop-down menu in the info window, and "Format" from the other drop-down menu. Post back here with what it says.

Also, what do you mean by video cd? The term Video CD is very specific, and it means a CD with an MPEG1 track, formatted (I think in .DAT form) so that commercial DVD players can read them. I think the resolution is 320x240, or something. Anyway, there should be no .mov on a VCD, but you were probably talking about a normal data CD with a .mov file on it, so never mind.
blackmail is such an ugly word. I prefer extortion. the X makes it sound cool
