Yeah, I saw that today. Let me know what you think of it, I'm a bit scared of it right now.

Then again, maybe I'll see if it works with NASCAR.com

I use it to listen to classical music streaming, particularly BBC3. he interface is FAR superior to REAL's last attempt. Musch cleaner.

Just remember that Real player is a spyware suspect on PC. This could also be on Mac.

I don't think there's any spyware-specific things in there, but it did say the following things:

- I believe it says that the player will store cookies

- After detailing how to opt-out of the AutoUpdate feature, it says that some *important* updates will be pushed to your machine regardless

- After detailing how to opt-out of Spam, it says that some *important* spam will be sent to you anyway.

- It's chock-full of DRM badness, just like the new license for Toast.

Ultimately, I decided to install it anyway, but only because its free.

The first shot at RealPlayer 1 for OS X is not too shabby, IMHO. It took long enough and I was beginning to doubt if we'd ever see it.

When you think about it, with such a small marketshare, it's a small wonder that Real would bother. Steveo must be paying them some big bucks up front.

Anyhoo, I'm glad we've got it. My experience so far has been good overall. At least we can view more content than we could before and we're not totally locked out of many, many sites.
