Was hoping someone could give me a hand with this.
I'm trying to bring in some DV externally by converting an MPEG 2 source into NTSC-DV using Mac MPEG2 Decoder. Everything goes well on that, and the resulting DV Stream file plays back correctly using QuickTime player. If I try to bring it into iMovie though, I get nothing but a bunch of oddly colored squares. What gives? Anyone have any insight? It would be greatly appreciated!

imovie doesn't read DV ntsc. Convert the file to a DV stream in QT.

Well how about a new question then:
Is it possible to export an iMovie as an MPEG or MOV file? I just borrowed my uncle's videocamera and played around with it and iTunes a bit. Now I would like to save my movie in a compressed format, do I have to purchase QT Pro or is there a cheaper solution?
