I believe that is going to depend on what program you're using to play (decode) your m2v files. So what are you using?

btw, If you can open both video and audio in Quicktime Pro, you can sometimes use Edit->Add Scaled to make the duration of both tracks the same. Just be careful not to 'Add scaled' audio to anything, or you could make everyone sound like Chip 'n Dale... or Barry White...
blackmail is such an ugly word. I prefer extortion. the X makes it sound cool

For anyone who is interested.

I figured out how to fix the problem...

the preview in Apple DVD Studio Pro is not the same as the actualy DVD no matter what the people at Apple tell you. The only way to really preview something is to "build image of disc" and then open it by using the Apple DvD Player.(go to preferences, select "Advanced Contols" and the "add open video" to the menu....)

anyways, i dont know if my comp just runs slow on 6 channel surround sound or what...but when i previewed it in the apple dvd player, it worked just fine.
