FCP3 on a Dual G4 800 is great, but I would like to eke out some even better performance. I know about the FCP script hack that can tricks FCP3 into thinking htat it is running on a machine with unlimited resources (ie. set rendering toggle to 6... I think, can't remember the specifics).

I see that when I am compressing files to Quicktime for archiving or for the web, my machine is not maxing out CPU cycles like dnetc does (ie. seeing 99% - 99% in Cee Pee You). Should I try nice'ing FCP3 (@ the command line)?
