Hi, i have a bunch of old files from the Napster days. They are all white folders that will not play on Quicktime or real player. They will play by going through itunes. What's the deal here; can i open them another way or onvert them? Also, has anyone noticed a quality difference when playing back mp3 on itunes? Real player produces a noticeable better quaolity for me, bizarre. Thanks for your comments people.

god knows i'm not an expert, but try this. put the "white folder" on your desktop, open up quicktime so there is a player on the desktop (it should say "untitled" across the top. go to the file menu and hit "open movie" you will get a box asking what to open with a choice of "hd" , "desktop" etc... anyways go to desktop and choose the "white folder" and that should get it to play in quicktime. and then you can choose 'save from the file menu again and it should save it as a quicktime file
