Hope you folk can help me.
I just got rid of my PC (never liked it anyway and the bit I have to do I can do in Virtual PC). The only wife-annoying part of the change is that she used to use a crappy webcam and microphone to videoconference with her sister interstate. I can get netmeeting and the webcam going but I am stuck for audio in.
I figure my two options are a PCI soundcard for the Mac (good because I kept the Cambridge Soundworks 3D speakers from the PC) or get a USB microphone solution...
Research tells me noone is yelling about their fantasic soundcaed for the Mac and the only solution for converting my current line-level mic is the Griffin imic/4 port USB hub combination $119US with shipping (I'm an aussie and that equates to $250 in the Australia peso).
Could anyone suggest a solution that will get my wife loving me again?

The Apple Plain talk mic should work for straight single channel in,
I have a couple but not sure what I got them with.

Based on the subject of the thread: 'Microphone for B&W G4,' I think cmensing must have thought you had a B&W (i.e. Blue & White) G3 with a G4 processor. The B&W case does indeed have a PlainTalk audio in port.
You must have a SWAG (Sliver, white and graphite) or a QuickSilver G4 without the audio in port.
