In Final Cut Pro, I will export a video onto my camcorder(sony tvr530) by selecting print to video in the file menu. After it is done recording onto my camcorder, I will play it but it seems kinda laggy and not so smooth. The Video clip plays fine on the computer but not on the camcorder. I have used i Movie, and the quality seems better. Is there a way to fix this? Thanx 4 reading this.

Do you have frame-blending on?

Are you running FCP 1.2.5 > there were issues with color clamping and frame-blending before 1.2.5.

Have you tried different Field Dominance settings from the settings menu under Sequence?

just some thoughts.... . . . also make sure you check out the site 2-pop http://www.2-pop.com/index.html

you are probably dropping frames. there is somewhere in your preferences where you can turn on a warning when dropping frames. if you've recently installed Cleaner 5, it installs extensions for the radius DV codecs. these codec extensions override the QT DV codecs and cause dropped frames when using FCP. its a known conflict and documented in the Cleaner read me's.

other than that, there may be other reasons you are dropping frames on playback. check FCP's RAM allocation (should be at LEAST 128MB). also, make sure you're not running explorer or any other resource hungry apps when trying to print to tape.
