Everytime I start my computer an error message appears.

Some of your Quicktime software failed to load because it is out of date. You can fix this problem by updating to the latest version.

I have updated QT several times and this message still will not disappear. I have uninstalled and installed QT several as well (Version 4.1.2)

Any suggestions?

You might want to disable all of Quicktime through the Extensions Manager and then install 4.1.2 again. To do this, open the EM, set it to View as Packages, and then turn all of the Quicktime packages off. Restart, and see if the message goes away. If it does, install Quicktime 4.1.2 again-- if it doesn't, look through your extensions folder for anything called Quicktime and disable it, then install 4.1.2 again.

The installer is actually quite dumb for a smart installer. The only sure way to make sure everything is renewed is to remove all QT extensions from the system folder. Disabling won't work, the installer will still find them in the disabled extensions folder. Trash them. Rebuild the desktop, to remove any nasty legacy stuff and reinstall from scratch.

Are you updating over the net or installing from a disk?
