I really need some advice...I have studied this a bit before, but now I have to act. I have about 2000 slides I need to scan and archive. I have reached the consensus that the Nikon Coolscan IV may be the way to go. Although this is not final. So here are my questions. Any help is really appreciated!
1. If I go with the Nikon IV Coolscan I can't afford to get the autoslide feeder. Can this be rented out? Or for that matter can I rent both units out? I only need it for this one project.
2. Most of the slides I believe are Kodachrome, which Nikons ICE is not supposed to work with. Has anyone found out otherwise.
3. How long would this take without a auto feeder, and/or with an autofeeder?
4. I need to be able to scan at a resolution for DVD archiving and full display. Also I would like to be able to print out at a larger size than 8x10 though it is not a requirement.
Thanks for any info!
