hello all:

i've been looking into getting a nikon digital camera (mostly because it'll work with my speedlights and some other nikon accessories). but everywhere i go trying to buy the 990, dealers are telling me that nikon's dicontinued it. any idea what's coming next? i'd hate to spend $800 on a "new" digital camera and then find out next week that i could have gotten something much nicer for the same price.

anyone who's got any info, please share.

that did help, thanks. looks like nikon is going to announce some sort of replacement on the 24th of april. comments right now are over what new features will be included.
