Is there a way to get mpeg 2 plug-in for quicktime without buying DVD Studio pro. I own Quicktime Pro, I'll pay extra for the plug-in. Or is there any other program (freeware or shareware) that can do the trick?

I want to encode mpeg-2 not just the ability to play it back

look for Missing Mpeg Tools on versiontracker.com. I think it might need MediaPipe, which is also a good program. You can look through <a href="http://www.macdvd.org/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi" target="_blank">this forum</a> for some good support for these programs
