I just picked one up. Sounds great 24/96KHZ. So much better than the on-board audio of my ibook. It is cross platform and works with my windows machine. The AC3, PCM dolby digital works awesome on windows. So now, I am waiting for Jaguar to have support for it. Otherwise, playing itunes with my keyspan remote hooked up to my reciever is awesome.

Here's a question:

Does the headphone jack on the Sonica have any power to it? For example, if I want to listen to audio from the Sonica with my big ol' Sennheiser headphones, can I get enough power from the headphone jack on it, or should I run it through headphone amp or a receiver first?

How much does it cost? If Mac OS X ever support dolby digital I might consider gettin it!

The analog audio is no amplified. you can hook up headphones but it is not that loud. I use a Griffin imic for my analog audio needs.
the device is more for hooking up to a amplifier/reciever.
