Is there any way to remove the apple logo from iDVD burned DVD's? IMHO this should be a benefit of owning quicktime pro.
Any DVD I burn using iDVD now carries the small apple bug in the lower right corner of the screen. This is very annoying and makes any distribution of iDVD burned disks impossible, unless you want to advertise apple on your totally unrelated dvd.
Any Thoughts?

Yes! This is from MacFixit, 02/09/01:
Removing the Apple logo from iDVD menu screens
All menu screens of DVD movies made with Apple's iDVD software contain an embossed Apple logo in the lower right corner (see this page). André Klein describes how to remove or replace the logo (note: as we do not have iDVD, we have not confirmed this ourselves; so try at your own risk and have backups just in case):

Inside the iDVD folder you'll find a folder named "Resources." Inside this one, open the folder called "Interface Files." Inside, you'll see some files named Parts1 through 10. These files are standard Photoshop documents, except with different Type and Creator codes. To open these files in Photoshop, check "Show all (file) types" and select "Photoshop" as file format in the "Open (as)" dialogue.

In particular, open "Parts4." The layer which contains the watermark is titled "name:watermark type:Tile." There seems no way to complete remove this layer or its content. If you do so, iDVD doesn't start up anymore. Instead, you have two alternatives:

If you want to remove the logo, you have to first clean the layer (just erase its content, don't delete the layer itself) and then make 1 almost completely transparent pixel anywhere within the canvas. Don't try to use the layer transparency slider. This has no effect within iDVD. As I said you have to draw 1 Pixel almost transparent.

Or you can create you own logo. All colors are allowed, you're not limited to grayscale nor are you limited in size. You can place the logo anywhere on the canvas, iDVD will automatically locate the center (or the lowest most right pixel?) and place it in the lower right corner.

In either case, save the file when you are done. Don't worry that Photoshop changes the icon and Type/Creator. iDVD won't care. When you start iDVD the next time, you'll see the result.

By the way, all other files named "Parts..." in the "Interface Files" folder are Photoshop documents too. Almost each and every GUI and DVD element of iDVD is stored within these files. If you browse through them, the button shapes (rounded rectangle, splash, heart etc.), button states, overlays and so on will show up. If you carefully study them, you will figure out, how to create your very own DVD menu buttons in iDVD.
