Hi

This may help those who want to download the Madonna video. For those who use Internet Exploder:

1 Open the folder Preferences/Explorer/Temporary Files on the desktop.
(List View, please, so you can see the file sizes)
2 Go to the website: http://www.madonnamusic.com/ , click to play;
3 A file appears in the Temporary folder called: videoplayer_56.mov
4 Wait till its size reaches 6.4MB, then copy it (Cmd-D)
5 Put the copy in another folder for safekeeping
(original will be erased when you leave the web page).
6 It is an IE document, change the type to MooV, Creator to TVOD
(you will need a file utility program).
7 You now have a QT movie to treasure forever!

Extra Super Bonus Secret! - Keep a handy alias of your Temporary Files folder. Interesting things pop up there as you surf that you might want to grab before they disappear.

Netscape users will probably also find the actual video saved as a temporary file along with lots of other interesting stuff.

Thanks for the tip... unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work. Did as you suggest, went to the site, played the movie as it streamed down. Nothing at all shows up in the "Temporary Files" folder that I had open on my desktop. Played it again after it had gone through once entirely and while watching my DSL bridges activity lights I see that it's now playing from my HD as there is NO transfer going on. And still there is nothing listed in the "Temporary Files" folder.

There is an option in the QuickTime Settings that allows you to turn Browser Cache on an off. Maybe you have turned it off and that's why it didn't work.

It also workds with the T1 version, but it's at 10.1 Mb. That's probably more worth it. But if everyone keeps exploiting this loophole in quicktime, then Apple will close it off.

Or you can just CTRL-Click on the video as it begins playing and choose "Save As QuickTime Movie..."

You should also be able to find it in the Temporary Items folder which is an invisible item on your hdd.

Saving the QuickTime was no problem with QuickTime Pro as previously stated.

What I had a problem with was Madonna's total rip off of Olivia Newton-John in blonde hair and white cowgirl outfit stolen from the hit movie Xanadu!
