Ok, so I installed the multi-part download and rebooted. My control strip was not showing so I opened the control panel and it asked me to start it up...I said OK and it gave me an error saying it could not start up...then quit the control panel.

So far I have tried trashing the prefs, removing most modules, and installing new copies of the control strip and control panel from the Installer using TomeViewer. None of these made any improvements.

Anyone have any ideas on what is preventing my control strip from working?

I've heared that this happens with the Wired4DVD extension. They're incompatible with OS 9.1 for now.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Thanks for the heads up...just happened to see that post over at xlr8yourmac.com. Basically you need to move the Wired4DVDLib (which I have) to the Application Support folder instead of the Extensions folder inside the System folder.
