I have a bunch of MPEG video clips a friend sent me from his vacation. I wanted to import them into iMovie and make one long film of them with nice transitions for him. When i choose import file from the file menu, the MPEG video files are all listed as being importable. However, when i select one to import, I get an error message that the file cannot be read and the program is skipping it. This happened in both iMovie 1.02 and 2.01.

Any ideas?
