9.1's Midnight Freeze Expands

I first noticed in MacOS 9.0.4 that at Midnight my iBook would freeze for 30 seconds. I upgraded to MacOS 9.1, that 30 second freeze now took 3 Minutes!!! Anyone else notice that in 9.1 the midnight freeze is longer?

I've never had this prob and have indexing disabled.
I think thats the prob but doesn't it show that its doing that? When it does it?

I had a strange problem too when I noticed my Mac would briefly freeze at midnight. I found out that the "culprit" was Internet Explorer. At midnight, IE takes all of the URLs you've visited that day (a.k.a your History) and groups them into a folder. The length of this process varies depending on how many URLs you've visited during the day, and it totally locks up your machine while it's doing it.

No I don't index my HD, that's just a waste of HD space.

As for Internet Explorer, that might be it... I'll try it tonight by not having it open at midnight.
