I have a powerbook G3 series about 5yrs old (black). I can not install OSX. I have 320mb and OS 9.1 already running. It keeps getting hung up is this to old of a computer? Thanks

Depends. Is this an original G3 PB? If so, it's not officially supported by Apple (although i think OWC has a free product which may allow it to be installed anyhow).

If it's a Wallstreet, it will definitely work. Have you replaced the HD with a high capacity drive? If so, you have to partition it so that the first partition is 8 GB or smaller, else MacOS X won't install. Apple has a TechNote about this, and i believe it's in the MacOS X readme as well.

BTW: This post should probably be either in a PowerBook forum, or a MacOS X forum.
