My monitor is capable of 1900x or better. When I first got my G4 and this monitor, and OS9 I was able to change the resolution to 1900 and better using the Apple supplied control strip resolution module. Now my list ends at 1600x1200. I don't remember if the Control Panel showed the higher resolutions although I seem to remember having changed the panel from Recommended to All at one time to do this.
Is this familiar to anybody?
Thanks.

Control-click the Control Strip module for resolution control. All resolutions available will be listed.
Also, in the Monitors control panel, from the pop-up menu, make sure that the "show all resolutions" option is selected.

Yep. tried these things. No go. It DOES show more resolutions, but none greater than 1600x1200.
Good try though.

I'm having a similar problem... my secondary computer, a beige G3/300 has an old 15" monitor I've had for like 6 years that supports 1280x1024 resolution @70 Hz. But the only way to access it is with SwitchRes ! The Monitors CP stops at 1024x768, even will "show all" selected.
Anyway, about SwitchRes... it should solve your problem, Tadd (allowing you to access 1900+ resolutions), but the resolutions still won't show up in the Monitors CP... SwitchRes is its own extension and CSM.

Be happy.

Someone over in the older systems and clones forum was having similar problems, solved by leaving the PRAM battery out for several hours, then repeatedly zapping the PRAM.
Worth a try, if SwithRes doesn't work.
