It's a standard G4 400 AGP, but when I run the install for Installer Update or Security Update10-19-01, it greys my drives out when it goes to have me choose which drive to install on, including the nicely working OS X 10.1 drive it's booted on. If I don't get this installed, I can't run the Mac OS X 10.1.2 update, which means no iPhotos.
Any ideas?
Please read my original post. It uses the word "or". I can't install either one of these, no matter which I try. That might have worked for that other guy, but it doesn't work for me. Also, I don't think the Terminal hack is the way I need to go.

Even if you don't choose to use the terminal hack (which is IMO safe in this instance), you can find out why exactly your 10.1 drive is being rejected.
