I want to get not only music, but also pictures and movies...stuff like that. what programs for OS 9 exist? I know that PC users have morpheus and imesh. What do we have?

Take a look at LimeWire. It's available for both Mac OS 9 and OS X. Free download, easy to use, very similar to Napster.

Morpheus is making a Mac version. LimeWire sucks. I use Morpheus under Virtual PC.

Don't post the same topic more than once.
This is not a MacOS issue.

Thank god Morpheus is coming. If I have to download another song or movie from three people at the same time, yet only getting 1.4-5k/sec, I am going to scream. Also, I love it when Limewire quite when I click on my menubar, subsequently freezing my computer in a matter of minutes......oh, and the 3 hours it takes to start up are nifty too

it searches and downloads from a few p/p networks.

Also might try Mactella. It's a bit funky, but it works without a password, etc.

I've had varying success with it under OS 9.04
