How do I use the built-in networking feature of the latest OS X to be able to network with my Win PC's?

Ignore the "Airport" part of the "title" of the above thread that I linked you to, it talks all about using SMB to connect ~ which I am assuming is what you wanted. Also, if you are running XP or somethin' other than 98 on the PeeCee it may be different. Give some more info re: your Windows setup.[/edit]

I tried to follow the thread but it was too confusing. I'm using Win98 on my PC. What do I type into the server window on the Mac? What after that?

Any help would be appreciated.

This is what I have..

WinXp name=wintelbox
Workgroup=DD42
shared directory=cDocFiles
Username=XYZ
Password=12345


On OSX in finder I press command+K

in the mask I enter

"address=" smb://wintelbox/DocFiles "Enter"/"OK"
a few moments later

I get a mask asking

Workgroup I enter DD42
Username I enter XYZ
Password 1 enter 12345
Hit OK...

Ta Da..connected..

Hope this helps its going to NT but Win98Me and 2K should work the same...
