I`m having problems.
Again.
About half the files I download won`t show up on my desktop(I gotta use ResEdit first).I`ve trashed AppleSharePDS and Finder Prefs along with rebuilding the desktop, running DiskFirstAid and TechTool (both say everythings ok) but the problem keeps turning up.
And now I`m getting a message box (empty) And system freeze.I`ve gone through my extensions atleast a dozen times. The best I`ve gotten is that it`s only showing up on every other restart.
#*##*&%# machine!!
Suggestions??????

Is it time for a clean install?

Clean install what??
The system software, it would probably fix the problem.

If you suspect it might be an extension but don't know which one, download "conflict catcher" from version tracker, it catches conflicts

I think this would be a good excuse to buy a quiksilver G4 with 17in flatscreen you know you want to.
