You could have an older version or multiple versions of ATM present in the System Folder. I would make sure that do disable all and reinstall the latest version (4.5.2)

Have repeatedly reinstalled ATM 4.5.2...
still get the dialog box on bootup that says "ATM could not be installed (have 160mb RAM) due to a lack of memory or software resources"...just installed OS9 on daughter's 1400 with 233G3 card and no dialog box...am puzzled...Doug@tislink.com (again)

I am not sure that 4.5.2 installer removes all of the older ATM version pieces. If I were you I would do a search for ATM on the whole hard drive and also remove ATM preference file(s).
