I recenlty made a disk image of some files, and now Disk Copy (6.3.3) won't read them...It says that it is stored in a format it can't read. This is wierd since its the version that created the image. Has anyone had similar problems with Disk Copy?

Try opening the images with Aladdin's ShrinkWrap (it's commercial, but has a fully-functional, time-limited demo).

If that doesn't work, it would appear that the images got corrupted.

You could also try dropping the images on top of Stuffit Expander.
