Should I stay with 9.0.4 or should I go to 9.1?

It seems a lot of hassle, with many problems & incompatibilty issues.
Also I cant get my new iSub to work with the current set up. Will 9.1 solve this?

dunno about your iSub but if you decide to go to Mac OS 9.1 i would get the CD and update that way. I think the updater is a little flaky and doesn't update everything

Go for the update.

You're using that iSub with an iMac right?

The sound system is redesigned (Apple Audio Extension is 1.2.2, as opposed to 1.0.4 under 9.04, and 1.0.5 with Multimedia update) , so it might just fix you iSub. My iSub works brilliantly under 9.04, so I can't verify your problem. I haven't had one single problem with the update, so I say go for it.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.
