problem booting 8.6 SCSI HD from 9.2

	I just bought a Quicksilver 800 PowerMac running 9.2 and OSX. I hooked up my old SCSI HD running 8.6 and it mounts fine in 9.2, but the machine won't boot from the SCSI 8.6 drive-- when I switch to it in the Startup Disk control panel and reboot, I get a blinking question mark folder for about 10 seconds, then the system boots the 9.2 disk instead. Any suggestions on how to boot the 8.6 SCSI drive? thanks!
