Hi All,

I've got a colour inkjet and the "Standard" print settings have colour printing on by default. I want black on by default, so can anyone tell me how I can change this (cmd. line maybe??)

I know I can do a custom setting, but that's no use as my flat-mates always forget to use it.

Depends on the printer driver. Some printer drivers will save the current settings as the default when you hold down the option key when you click Print.

Without knowing which printer you're using, and which Mac OS version, it's impossible to tell whether yours will support this or not. Try it and see,

10.1.3 and an Epson Stylus Colour 760

I tried the tip above and it didn't seem to work.
