Does anyone kow how to set-up a routing table (for networking) in MAC OS 8-9. In OSX, it's simply a matter of going to the Unix command prompt, but I have no idea in mac classic.

Thanks

AFAIK, there is no easy (i.e. user) way of manipulating the routing table out of the box.

Both IPNetRouter and [URL=http://www.vicomsoft.com[/URL] have options for defining the routing table (I guess they need to since they essentially turn your Mac in to a router ), but the routing only works while the applications are running. In essence, they don't change the routing table of the system, instead you direct all network traffic to IPNetRouter/SoftRouter and it does the work.
