"Steven Varner has something to say about the edit to use third party SCSI drives with Apple's CD/DVD driver extension:

"I really didn't feel like buying the latest version of the Toolkit, so I tried hacking MacOS 9's CD/DVD player extension (v1.3.1). It worked. Not only that, but it now allowed my Yamaha CD burner to work without the Toast driver.

"I want to report that the ResEdit hack for CD/DVD player 1.3.5 is identical to that for 1.3.1 as given on your web site!
