I`m having problems (on the Performa) with assorted files and programs (about a half dozen or so) that refuse to "save" preferences or changes ( I gotta use"save as" and rename the file).It`s happening to ClarisWorks,PandoCalander and a couple of others.When I "empty trash"in Communicator,I get "a communications error occured".If I use "select all" and then "delete selected messages",it trashes the messages and leaves a copy ( which I can usually get rid of by trashing again).
I`ve trashed my Finder pref. and the AppleShare PDS (which ain`t there now),rebuilt the desktop,scaned it with DiskFirstAid,TechTool,Virex and everything else I`ve got ("no problems found",my eye).
Help!!!
P.S.: I reformatted my internal hard drive about 3 weeks ago using the OS 8 disc.
