9.1: My system fonts are growing?

OS9.1 on a Umax J700 G3/270 w/184ram. Recently upgraded from OS8 to 9 (clean install) and then to 9.1. The system font (Charcoal) looks to be double-bolded, for no reason that I can tell. Sure can't find a preference for it anywhere. What do I have to trash to get it back to normal? It makin me nuts!
Help find a cure for Malaria: crunch D2OL for Team Macnn.

Thats AIM.

Its a bug thats been around forever.

Reboot, or launch AppleWorks to fix it.

Pain in the ass...
