I'm trying to download the quicktime broadcast of the conference call at: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/earningsq101/
So I click on the "listen now" link, and all that happens is that a small, 247 byte file is downloaded "q1_2001_live_ref 2.mov", and that's it. It was the same deal with the MWSF keynote. I'm using OS 9.1 and Quicktime 4.1. IE explorer 5.

What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions appreciated.

Yeah, that file, when opened, should connect to a stream, which will let you listen to it over the net, without having to download the file.
Check to see you have all the streaming settings configured properly, and the necessary components installed.
I suggest reinstalling QuickTime, and registering.

Maybe you are connected to a proxy and you simply can't view streamed movies? (i'm in this case)
