apple audio extension crashes 9.1 at start up

	I am using 10.0.1 on a Ti book and every time i boot to 9.1 the system crashes at start up. Why does it do this? everytime i have reboot of the cd and overwrite the extension with the one from the CD. i would disable it but i using sound software so i need it. what can i do please help cuz its driving me crazy.
