I noticed that after a clean install of 9.0.4 from my PB G3 (FireWire) installation CD, and updating to OS 9.1 via the multiple parts download, there's still the PowerPC Enabler 9.0.4 in my System Folder. Anyone else? Do I still need it?
Think twice about what you did when you updated your system - that file should have been removed. Make sure that you used the right language updater (not the international Z version on a US system, eg). It should most definately have been removed - with it you have a mixture of 9.04 and 9.1.
The current Mac Pro is the most out-of-date Mac since the Macintosh Portable
I knew what I was doing: I first did a clean install of 9.0.4 using the PowerBook G3 (FireWire) "Software Install" CD, which is the only version of 9.0.4 which will install on my PB. Then I updated using the English (North American) version of the 9.1 updater.
