iTunes and DVD stutter

my dvd player stutters every 5 minutes or so since installing iTunes. I notice that the iTunes installer replaced my Apple CD/DVD extension with one actually labeled as "iTunes". Has anyone else encountered this problem? WHat does the new "iTunes" CD/DVD extension add in features? How can I go about replacing it with the old CD/DVD extension? Thanks
