Is it a percentage of RAM, or is there just a maximum size? Is there a third party software that allows for larger RAM disks than the Mac OS? I currently have 512 MB RAM, but the largest RAM disk I can create is about 256 MB.

The RAM Disk can only be as large as your largest RAM module, I assume (I have 4x256 MB modules and can only get a 256 MB RAM Disk).

I'm not sure about that because I have one 512 MB Dimm and I'm still stuck with a RAM Disk around 256 MB.

Is there a third party solution?
