Hi,
After upgrading to MacOS9.1, clicking mouse button continuously on the scroll down button is much faster than holding the down-arrow key. The app seems to continue the mouse down event even after I have released the button. The repeat wait interval seems much shorter for mouse down button than key down button. I got this problem in iCab and MS Word (haven't tried with other apps).
Anyone encountered the same thing? Seems to be a bug as MacOS 9.0 doesn't have this behavior ...

Edit some settings in the Keyboard control panel, and see if that helps at all

Tried this, but changing the settings in keyboard panel only affects the keyboard events (not mouse button events).

Trash the mouse preferences file. 9.1 has big troubles with old prefs.

The low-end Mac Pro is the most overpriced Mac since the IIvx

It works! Anything else I should trash ??? Most apps are working fine, except Netscape 4.76 which sort-of crashes my TCP stack (need to reboot) when looking at some iomega.com web pages ...

Well, it is not quite working. The mouse button on my powerbook works properly now, but double-tapping on the trackpad and hold (to get a mouse down button) still trigger the mouse down events too fast ... This time I trashed the trackpad preferences and it still remains the same. Incidentally the trackpad preferences still stays at version 9.0.4 after I trashed it. Any clue?
