Has anyone found mac.com to be not receiving mail? I noticed that I hadn't gotten any mail there for about 12 hours (I use it primarily for listservs), and when I checked the listservs, they'd been sending mail fine to other systems. So I sent a piece of mail from an account on my FirstClass server to my mac.com and yahoo.com addresses, and the mail routed fine to Yahoo.com, but not to mac.com. Mac.com seems to be fine for checking mail (Entourage and Outlook don't encounter any errors), and sending is a moot point (since I have to use another SMTP), but it's not receiving as far as I can tell. Anyone know a support contact point at Apple for mac.com?

Here is the oficial Apple reply:

We are aware that there may have been some performance issues with the mac.com mail servers earlier today. Any messages currently being sent should be received as normal. Any messages sent earlier today may have been delayed. The duration of the delay can depend upon the schedule of the sending server.

When a mail server appears to be unavailable to a network, the sending mail server requeues the message to be tried again at a later time. The length of time before the sending side tries again depends on the settings at that side. The receiving mail server may appear to be down after the resolution of the issue because of this queued mail not having been re-sent yet.

If you have any further mail issues, please feel free to post back to this forum for troubleshooting assistance.
