Need Help With Modem Updater 2.0

I cannot update my G4/450 AGP modem firmware with the Modem Updater 2.0. As with others, I get the message that my modem needs resetting and to shut down the computer to accomplish that. I've tried that, along with other possible fixes posted here and elsewhere, and nothing has worked. Does Apple or anyone else have a cure for this? I usually cannot connect at speeds any faster than 28800, and I was hoping that this update might help. Thanks for any help that anyone can give.

Are you having trouble installing the Updater, or in getting it to work after installation?
You might want to check www.macfixit.com - they have quite a bit of information...
