DVD wont mount?

G4 w/ DVD RAM drive. I try to mount a DVD and it does not appear on the desktop. The Mac just spits it back out.

Same DVD mounts and plays fine on P-Book G3 but wont mount on the G4.

Mac OS 9.0.4 and DVD player 2.2 installed.

Anybody seen this problem??

does it mount other dvds, or is it just with one particular dvd ?
are you sure that all the dvd-related extensions are loaded ?
(maybe this infos would help someone to find the solution)
