Why is it that I can't move the scroll bar up and down and watch the files move smoothly in navigation services open and save dialogs, just as I can do with the finder windows. This used to work in the old open and save dialogs.

Thank you...

Live scrolling hasn't been implemented in navigation services open and save dialogs. Why? I don't know.

Seems to me like it should've been when Apple decided to put live window scrolling in OS 8 and up. Makes no sense to me either.

You could go to VersionTracker.com and look for SmartScroll. That will all you to give all your applications live scrolling. It also allows control of the scrolling speed, and it will give you live scrolling in the Navigation Services!
