hi

i keep all my mp3 files on a LaCie pocket firewire drive, since the harddrive on my TiBook 550 is only about 20GB.

I'm experiencing really bad overall system performance when playing my mp3's on the firewire drive through iTunes. the system is hanging for a second every 10 seconds or so... :-((((((((

has anybody had any experiences with this..??

my setup;

Titanium powerbook 550 / 768 mb memory
OS 9.2.2 (firewire extensions 2.8.5)
iTunes 2.04
LaCie firewire pocket drive 20GB
