Trouble updating from 8.6 to 9.04

	I've downloaded the OS 9.04 updater, but when I try to install it on my old beige G3, the installer won't go any further than to the "select the disk" part. The button is grayed out that would allow me to proceed. I have a G4 CD with 9.04 on it, but it's not an "updater," so I'm not sure I should try to work with it on the G3. Thanks for any advice on this.
